POSITION FILLED – Accounting – Technical Lead | Work from Home | $120k-$160k

Accounting Services 

The business currently has 40 team members performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks for financial services clients. Market demand and an existing ‘new’ client pipeline are in place to deliver rapid growth with capacity the only limitation.  

The Role (New Position) 

The primary objective of the role is to lead, develop and enhance the core offering in Accounting and Bookkeeping, by building a high-performance scaleable service delivery team.  

In this highly creative and autonomous role, you will use your accounting experience to develop the accounting offering including: 

• Serve as the accounting Subject Matter Expert for internal and external stakeholders. 
• Work with the current Accounting/ Bookkeeping specialists to understand existing offerings and competitive landscape. 
• Clear scope and position descriptions for accounting and bookkeeping roles, including task road maps based on development level. 
• Develop a training plan and certification for hires into this role, in conjunction with the Learning and Development Team. 

• Work with the marketing team to develop value proposition and marketing collateral. 
• Support Sales, Relationship Management and Delivery teams in relation to client queries for accounting and bookkeeping.

The Person 

You are self-motivated. You think like an entrepreneur, constantly innovating and driving positive change, but more importantly, you consistently deliver mind-boggling results. 

Ideally you will demonstrate 5 years’ experience in an accounting practice at Manager level or above with responsibilities for a team and financial performance. Additionally, you will have experience directly training accountants and managing workflows (WIP) in fast paced environment. 

• Degree (accounting major) and certifications (CA/CPA) in Accounting.  
• Previous experience with managing or leading a team (specifically developing teams). 
• Strong foundations in technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail. 
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the confidence to present, train and promote the accounting offering.  
• Proven track record of delivering on project priorities, within timeframe, budget and resourcing.  

• Ability to work autonomously, be a strategic thinker and apply original thought to the development of projects and initiatives.

Remuneration 

Base salary package circa $120-130K plus superannuation plus STI bonus to 20%.  

Location and Travel – Full Time Work from Home 

The successful applicant will receive extensive support and best practice training on work from home methodology including; operating rhythm, technology and managing an offshore team.  

You will be required to travel several times a year to the company’s office in Asia to meet your team, attend executive meetings, client events, and annual conference.
