This role will suit a Senior Financial Planner looking to apply your professional capabilities in a highly focused advice firm with strong existing client relationships.

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Adviser to join a professional business in the Norwest of Sydney. The role has been created to support continued growth of the business.

Qualified experienced Financial Planning professionals with demonstrated experience managing existing clients are invited to make an expression of interest.

The business is a mature Financial Planning practice with loyal client relationships representing in excess of 400 client groups and circa $220M of FUA. The practice employs two full time support staff and the Principal Financial Planner, and has previously employed a second Financial Planner.

The business is currently going through a consolidation process due in part to recent industry changes, and requires a full time Senior Financial Planner to assist in the management of existing client relationships and facilitate growth.

The Role – Certified / Senior Financial Planner

The primary focus of the role is to provide a high level of service and advice to an existing list of clients through personal interaction, client reviews, and education services.

Working closely with the Practice Principal you will provide “High Touch” relationship management and education services to a wide variety of clients. You will manage an allocated list of client groups, conducting the annual review process and engaging clients on a 12 month fixed service agreement.

Maintain service levels and grow the book. By enriching clients knowledge and enhancing relationships increase the value of advice and grow the book through organic servicing.

As an advocate for the business, engage in the business’s advice philosophy and service delivery by pro-actively supporting activities around the brand, marketing and relationship management of third party referral partners.

The Person

Ideal applicants will have 5 years’ experience in a client facing advice role encompassing a broad range of client types and demographics. Additionally you will have direct experience working with SMSF’s, retirees and managing portfolios inclusive of directly held-assets and property.

You will demonstrate a high level of client service ethic, aptitude and capabilities, working knowledge of cash flow modelling advice, tax structures and long term investment strategies.

Ideally you will have:

  1. Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning
  2. Successfully completed FASEA exam
  3. Started their pathway studies to Graduate Diploma (or already completed at that level or higher).

Advanced interpersonal relationship skills, strong analytical skills and eye for detail, client service focus and a genuine desire to help others are a must. High energy levels, new client engagement skills, lateral thinking capabilities and commercial aptitude will be expected.

Remuneration

Base salary (negotiable) circa $120K plus superannuation, plus annual incentive bonus.

Bonus paid on client retention, organic growth, client referrals and new business written, plus standard gateway and balanced scorecard measures, compliance, client satisfaction, team work, personal development.
